For my esteemed yoga teachers I was allowed to design their new yoga studio this year.
As a practitioner myself, the focus on a calm and minimalist-natural design concept was obvious to me.
For me, it was also a departure from exaggerated design intentions.
It is not the room and the objects that are important, but the person practising in it and their inner energies.
According to the yogic principles of functional stability combined with lightness and inner freedom: furniture that fulfils yoga-specific tasks and mindful materials and surfaces come together here in one space.
All materials are of regional or European origin, and the implementation was carried out with regional craftsmen.
The light oak wood is matt oiled. The metal frames are sanded and then specially waxed.
